What we collect

  • Booking and appointment data: name, phone, email, selected service, preferred date/time, notes you provide (for example, hair details or add-ons), and deposit/payment status.
  • Communications: messages you send by email, phone, WhatsApp, or the site’s contact options.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, collected via cookies and similar technologies that help the site run (see Cookies below).
  • Account data (if applicable): if you create a WooCommerce or booking account on the site, the login and profile details you provide.

We do not ask for more personal information than we need to book and provide your appointment.

How we use information

  • To schedule, confirm, and provide braiding appointments.
  • To collect and apply the required appointment deposit and balance, and to send related confirmations or reminders.
  • To respond to questions and manage cancellations, moves, and rebooking.
  • To improve the site, help prevent fraud or abuse, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Processors and tools we use

We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, including:

  • WordPress / Hostinger — website platform and hosting (including Hostinger CDN / related infrastructure).
  • WooCommerce — store and account features on the site (where enabled).
  • Amelia — current online booking calendar on the site (until replaced).
  • Square (Square Appointments) — online booking and payment processing for deposits and appointment payments when enabled. Card details are handled by Square; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • WhatsApp / phone carriers — as needed to message or call you about your appointment.
  • LiteSpeed Cache / Rank Math / similar site tools — performance and SEO features that may process technical data.

Each provider has its own privacy policy governing their processing.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are needed to run the site (for example, WordPress/WooCommerce session and cart cookies). We did not find a separate cookie-consent banner, Google Analytics, or Meta Pixel on viralbraids.com at the time this draft was prepared.

If we add optional analytics or marketing cookies later, we will update this policy and, where required, provide consent controls.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may affect booking or account features.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with the processors listed above as needed to run the studio and website, and when required by law.

Retention

We keep booking, payment, and communication records for as long as needed for operations, tax, and legal requirements, then delete or anonymize them when they are no longer needed.

Your choices

Children

We offer kids’ braiding styles and a 10% discount for children under 12. Booking and payment for a child’s appointment must be handled by a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 for marketing. If you believe a child has provided personal information without guardian consent, contact us and we will delete it where appropriate.

Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new date above. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
